On September 15, 2017, CSAAC’s Aktion Club, members and advisors, brought together families, community members, individuals, friends, and co-workers for the Annual Karaoke Night 2017. CSAAC’s Aktion Club is sponsored by the Montgomery Village Kiwanis Club. The individuals learn self-advocacy skills, leadership skills, and a sense of giving back to the community where they live.
This was an evening where voices are lifted in song and are blended together for a great night of fun! Eric Salzano, Interim Executive Director was there offering support to the singers. The night theme was “Getting Back to the Fall Season.” Karaoke operator Bridget and Grace provided songs that people wanted to sing. Hans practiced for many months to perform the Kenny Rogers song “All I Ever Needed is You”, winning him an honorable mention prize bucket! Other individuals, Paul and his support staff Solomon, also winners for an outstanding duo, received beautiful prizes. Kim and Paul were the top female and male winners of the evening. Gary, along with other individuals, took to the microphone to sing out some tunes.
They were all winners for performing and look forward to Karaoke 2018. Will you be one of the top winners next year? Start practicing and come join in the fun next year!
